We started this website to bring together people who love horses and are dedicated to their well being. Our goal is to teach people how best provide professional treatment to their horses.
I’ve been around horses since I came into this world, I grew up on a farm so it’s only natural. I’ve always had a special connection with them. It's like they are a part of me and I am a part of them. I am so lucky to be the lead writer for this website. I spend my day training horses and at night I like to write about them. I’ve had my fair share of naysayers because of my age. But I think my youthful exuberance gives me a unique perspective and besides, age is but a number I'm an old soul at heart. I plan on working with horses for as long as I live. I believe it's my calling and when I die I want to be reincarnated as a horse.
I always say, "Be kind and do the right thing." It is the mantra that I live by In fact, I own a couple of custom made t-shirts and caps with this slogan. I am the website editor I love that my job enables me to work with horses and people who are passionate about horses. l’ve met some pretty incredible people in my line of work. And some of the worst. I was never cut out for horse riding or training as the rest of my family, but I always knew I wanted to do something that involves horses. Hence my current profession as a consumer advocate and horse safety adviser. I use the online name ‘The Album’. Don't ask me why, I just think it's cool.
I love the quote, "Stand up for what you believe in even if it means standing alone." I am a contributing writer for the website. I’ve always loved animals but growing I was never allowed to keep a pet because my brother had allergies. Fortunately, one of our neighbors owned a couple of dogs and I remember always begging him to play with them. Sometimes he let me, other times he barked me off. Then one day I witnessed him kick one of the dogs. To this day, it is one of the most horrific things lye ever seen. On that day, everything changed for me. I desperately wanted to do something about what I had just seen but I didn't. I didn't know how to at the time. And it haunted me for a while. Then one day woke up and decided no animal is ever going to be treated like that ever again under my watch. And that's how I became an animal rights activist.
We hope to inspire people to look at animals as more than just animals but more like friends. We can only make this world a better place if we are in harmony with other living things we share this planet with. We openly welcome any ideas you have for future articles and stories about horses here. Or if you would like to see something that we should cover as a topic- let us know. Thanks!
